My name is Joanne Macrelli. I am a Business Education teacher at West Islip High School, Long Island, NY. I teach Business Law, Accounting I and IB Business Management. I just finished the IB on-line course for IB Business and Management and learned a great deal. This was a very informative, user-friendly course that enabled participants from all over the world to communicate with each other, with the instructor, and to share ideas, resources, etc. It was very useful and currently I am preparing lessons based on many of the resources and ideas that I shared with my colleagues and our instructor. A++course!

My name is Lydia Georgieva and I teach IB Business and Management at Dulwich College Beijing, China at the moment. 4. I am Aleksandras Cyras, Lithuanian nationality. If you are in doubt where it is check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lithuania :-). I was a "B300 Businees behaviour in a changing world" course student in the Open University. By that time I was living in Luxembourg, now living in Brussels, Blegium and still countinuing with the OU! I can reassure Loykie was one of the best tutors I had - in the sense you get no easy marks for free. I remember the TMA01 I've got mark was one of the worst during my entire studies in the OU. However it gave me an impetus to read, analyse and think more thoroughly. I have constantly improved and at the end I did quite well in the exam. All the best to you, Loykie!

  5. My name is Fabrice Vanegas, I teach IB Business Management in Bangkok, Thailand. I had the pleasure of taking the online IB training for IB Business Management this year under the guidance of Loykie, whose hard work has helped many of us become better teachers. I now have more clarity and a better sense of direction in imparting the course to this year's batch of students.
    Muchas gracias Loykie!

  6. My name is Theofanis Lekos and I work as a Project Leader in the International IT Department of a conglomerate financial institution based in Athens. I am responsible for implementing IT projects in Cyprus and Egypt. Loykie is my tutor in my last course at the OU aiming for Bacheror's degree in Business studies. His encouranging approach in relation to TMAs together with his constructive feedback assist me to become a reflective learner, thus enhancing my business acumen. He is very honest and fair and with a great sense of homour. In addition, his methods of tutoring are innovative and are relied on direct knowledge, thus developing an understading based on observations and experiences which are crucial in the business market.
All in all, his excellent tutoring was one of the reasons of choosing the OU for my MBA studies and I hope that in the future I will meet him in Athens and thank him personally.
    Thanks a lot Loykie

  7. My name is Trevor Cunningham and I completed the Summer 2010 IB Workshop, Business and Management: Putting the Course Together with Loykie. As a teacher at the American International School Riyadh, it is important to us that our teachers have a solid grasp of the program we are to deliver to our students. Loykie's course encouraged positive discourse amongst a diverse group of educators across a broad range of experience levels to this objective. As a participant, I feel I walked away with the required confidence to tackle what is supposed to be a two-year course in one year. Loykie's course provided teachers new to the course with a considerable volume of resources and perspectives on the progression of the course.

    Cheers Loykie!

  8. I have worked with Loykie for the IB for three years now and I have to say that it has been a pleasure doing so. Apart from being a workaholic Loykie has a wit and grace that bridge the many cultures that are at the heart of international education.

Dr. Loykie Lomine is one of the many eminent Principal Examiners for Business and Management under whom I have received my training as an examiner and team leader with the International Baccalaureate Organisation. I am from Mumbai, India and have been involved with delivering the IB Diploma programme for the past six years. I have been in the field of education for almost twenty years now, and have had the experience at delivering various curricula at the graduate and post graduate level with various institutions and universities at the national and international level. At every reference point, where I have had the good fortune to work under the guidance of Dr. Loykie, he has been patient and encouraging. A great mentor who would support you and guide you towards growth with his professionalism!

  11. I am from Brazil and currently I work in Cairo-Egypt teaching IB Economics and IB Business/Management. The same way as a few of the educators above, I was one of the participants of the IB Bus&Mang online course summer program of 2010. I believed we were all blessed for having such a unique group dedicated and passionate about teaching and sharing resources. Loykie was a great leader and managed to bring the group together. I could say that the online course with Loykie was much more productive than the on-site courses I took before!!! Keep up the good work and thanks.

  13. My name is Anggraini Kurniawan, an IB Business and Management teacher at Cita Hati Christian High School, Surabaya, Indonesia. I met Loykie exactly 2 years ago, at November 2008 Grade Award Meeting in Cardiff, Wales. He is a very kind-hearted, knowledgeable, helpful and hard working. I learned a lot from him about this subject and since then he has been my main source of information, not just about Business and Management but also about IB in general. He has been very supportive in my application for IB examiner and he was always ready to lend a hand during the online examiner training which has demonstrated that he is a very good mentor one can ever expect for. I can’t thank him enough for all his prompt support and guidance. It’s been a privilege and pleasure of knowing you, Loykie..Terima kasih!

My name is Douglas Elliot. I lived and worked in the Cayman Islands and Bangkok. I have been an examiner with the IB for a number of years and have therefore attended many online standardisation meeting chaired by Loykie. These meetings are always painless and informative due to the skillful manner in which Loykie steers the meetings so that we always stay on task. Loykie never allows any time to be wasted but still allows everyone to contribute their view and feel part of the meeting.

Saludos

  22. Hi. I'm Riza from the Philippines and this is my first time for a lot of things IB-related. Though I have been teaching for a while in local schools, this is the first time I'm handling classes in the IB Program, and no less than the DP at that. It was daunting at first, but I was glad to have taken the online workshop to help me out. Loykie has been very encouraging and supportive. He's given a lot of resources to aid me in my BusMan classes. I'm glad to be part of his online class and i'm looking forward to more interactions with him. :)

  25. My name is Jesse Rumsey and I completed the IB Workshop, Business and Management: Putting the Course Together with Loykie, the spring of 2011. I teach in Kalispell, Montana, USA and have been a business education teacher for 10 years, however this is the first year my school is offering the Business and Management class. Loykie's online class was a great way for me to learn about internal/external assessment, in addition to creating my own course, from the inside out. Loykie always provided clear, deatiled answers, and has continued to be a rich resources as I progress in teaching the course for the first time. His help extends beyond his classroom. Thank you Loykie!

I have worked with Loykie on the IB Business Management curriculum review team and thoroughly enjoyed the experience as Loykie cuts to the heart of the matter very quickly. Informed and witty too boot. His emails are incisive. Loykie is very open to contrasting views.
